3 arrested in Prairieville pot bust
PRAIRIEVILLE - Narcotics detectives with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office made a total of three arrests and recovered a supply of marijuana after an extended investigation of Prairieville residence on Tuesday.
Detectives were able to obtain search warrants from a judge that granted investigators permission to search a home on Palomino Lane believed to be a center of drug-related activity, according to the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office.
Narcotics agents searched the Prairieville residence on Dec. 2, and they recovered a quantity of marijuana along with drug paraphernalia during a search of the home's bedroom, according to Major Kevin Hanna of the APSO.
Steven Porter, 50, and Lisa Moran, 52, were in the house at the time of the search and were taken into custody by deputies. Additionally, detectives located a small, four plant marijuana grow operation inside a closet of a bedroom that belonged to Moran's son, 26-year-old Thomas Moran.
Steven Porter and Lisa Moran were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were booked into Ascension Parish Jail on Wednesday. Thomas Moran was also arrested and charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also booked into the parish jail.
