BELLE ROSE - Assumption Parish Sheriff's deputies have arrested three people in connection to the murder of 84-year-old Anna Mae Hidalgo, including her great-nephew.

Raven Blanchard, Dean Hue Sr. and a 12-year-old boy admitted to being involved in the murder of Hidalgo, according to investigators.  Authorities say Hidalgo is Hue's great-aunt.

Search crews found her body dumped in a canal in Iberville Parish.

Investigators reported finding blood in her home in Belle Rose and in her car, which was found abandoned a mile-and-a-half from the residence.

Hidalgo was beaten and strangled to death, according to the coroner's report.

Hue and Blanchard are charged with First Degree Murder and Felony Theft.

They have been booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.

The boy is charged with First Degree Murder.

The juvenile is being held at the St. James Youth Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
