BATON ROUGE – A suspect has been arrested in connection with raping three people in October has been charged in a 2015 murder.

28-year-old Bryan Leduff was arrested around 6:45 p.m. Thursday in connection to the shooting death of 34-year-old Jemina Williams, according to police.

Investigators say Williams was found in the 2600 block of North Street on Mar. 26, 2015. Detectives say Williams suffered from what appeared to be several gunshot wounds. Leduff is charged with second degree murder in the case.

Leduff was arrested Wednesday night and charged with three counts of first degree rape, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of false imprisonment and sexual battery.

Leduff was arrested for the rape of an 18-year-old on Oct. 3, the rape of a 22-year-old on Oct. 17 and the rape of a 19-year-old on Oct. 26.

On Oct. 3 around 11 p.m., the 18-year-old victim stated that she was meeting a friend named Joe at an apartment on Boulevard de Province because he told her that he would pay her cell phone bill.

When the victim knocked on the door, Leduff was dressed in all black clothing and had a black mask on. The victim screamed and Leduff hit her in the head with a pistol, knocking her unconscious. The victim woke up to Leduff taking off her clothes and raping her.

Leduff was interviewed where he admitted that he was with the victim and said that he always carries a pistol, but the victim did not see it. He also stated that his face was not covered, however a black mask was seen in Leduff's rental car, according to the arrest report.

On Oct. 17 around 10 p.m. the 22-year-old victim was contacted by Leduff after an ad was posted for an escort. The victim was asked to go to an apartment on Boulevard de Province that appeared vacant, similar to the previous incident, where Leduff held the victim at gunpoint, took her cell phone away and forced here into a bedroom where he raped her. Arrest records indicate that Leduff repeatedly hit her in the head with his gun when she tried to fight back.

A search warrant for the apartment was executed where the cell phone Leduff used to contact the victim and three 40. caliber magazines were found. When questioned, Leduff stated that he was with the victim and refused to pay for the victim's services, which caused an argument to ensue. Leduff denied using force with the victim in anyway and denied that he had a weapon or a mask while with the victim.

On Oct. 26, the 19-year-old victim was contacted by Leduff after he responded to an ad for an escort that was posted the day before. Leduff told the victim to go to a small house on Florida Boulevard that appeared to be abandoned. Leduff answered the door wearing a mask and holding a gun to the victim before forcing her inside the building. Leduff asked the victim for her phone, forced her to take off her clothes and raped her.

Leduff stated that he was with a "prostitute" and she was just upset that he did not pay her when questioned by BRPD, according to the arrest report.

DNA evidence processed by the Louisiana State Crime Lab was vital to the investigation. The Baton Rouge Police Department Special Victims Unit arrested Leduff on the above charges and was booked accordingly at the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
