BATON ROUGE- Wednesday, city leaders could make a historic change and allow 24-hour liquor sales.
The sales would only be allowed on riverboat casinos, if Metro Council approves the change.
Currently, city laws don't allow sales after 2 a.m. Monday through Saturday and midnight Sunday.
Among other issues the council will discuss include electing the chief of police. If approved, voters would next decide the measure at an election.
