22-year sentence for man with drug heist plan
BATON ROUGE - U.S. District Judge Shelly D. Dick sentenced Chris Williams, 28, to 22 years of prison for his role in a planned home invasion aimed at stealing 26 pounds of cocaine.
The U.S. Attorneys Office said the violent felon planned on "killing anyone that stood in the way" in his conspiracy to steal the drugs.
Williams' sentence was enhanced based on having three prior felony adult convictions for crimes of violence, along with 8 other convictions.
Williams was also sentenced to five years of supervised release following his imprisonment.
