2 square off for West Feliciana Parish president
ST. FRANCISVILLE - Voters in West Feliciana Parish will go to the polls Saturday to choose the parish's first parish president.
After defeating two other candidates in the Oct. 19 primary, Republicans Kevin Couhig and Tom McVea are battling for the new job in a runoff. Couhig is a businessman who ran state economic development in the 1980s. McVea is former West Feliciana Parish police juror and state legislator.
The parish president position was created when voters in West Feliciana Parish approved a home-rule charter form of government last November.
