MILLINGTON, Tenn.- Police say a member of the National Guard opened fire Thursday afternoon at an armory outside a U.S. Navy base in Tennessee, wounding two soldiers before being taken into custody.
Millington Police Chief Rita Stanback says the shooter was apprehended by other National Guard members. Stanback says the two people shot were also National Guard members and were taken to the hospital.
No word yet on their conditions, but neither appeared to have life-threatening injuries.
A law enforcement official says the gunman was a recruiter who had been relieved of duty.
