The presidents of Livingston and Ascension parishes have begun a push to build a toll road linking their parishes.
Huey Dugas of the Capital Area Planning Commission says a road between La. 933 and La. 447 would be a feasible project.
If built, Ascension Parish President Tommy Martinez says it would help the traffic problem at Port Vincent tremendously.
The first steps in getting the project approved include setting up an Ascension-Livingston toll road authority.
