2 men arrested in Baton Rouge double murder case
BATON ROUGE - Two men accused in a double murder in Baton Rouge back in May are now behind bars while a third is still on the run, according to detectives.
Sheriff's deputies in East Baton Rouge Parish arrested 18-year-old Charles Lanaute and 21-year-old Darrius Miller Wednesday afternoon for the deadly shooting of Orok Ironbar and Russell Celestine.
Detectives said they're still searching for a third suspect, 19-year-old Plug Lanaute.
Investigators said the victims were found at an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Gardere Lane on May 18. Ironbar died at the scene while Celestine was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
All three suspects are from St. Gabriel and are being charged with 2 counts of First-Degree Murder and Armed Robbery.
Anyone with any information on Plug Lanaute's whereabouts is urged to call the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office.
