BAYOU VISTA- State police are investigating a single vehicle crash that claimed the lives of two men in St. Mary Parish.

Troopers say an SUV being driving by 25-year-old Bryan Mitchell of Houma ran off La. Highway 182 near Bayou Vista late Tuesday night and hit a utility pole.

Mitchell and 40-year-old Tyronne Gray of Thibodaux were pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Mary Parish Coroner.

A third passenger in the vehicle, 33-year-old Anna Collette of Franklin, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
