BATON ROUGE- Two people have been arrested, accused of a string of armed robberies- including one where people were shot.

Khristian George and Diondre Handy, both 19-years-old, were picked-up by Baton Rouge Police. The pair face charges for several robberies in the Tigerland area.

"In most of the cases, suspects used a firearm to subdue their victims," a BRPD spokesperson said in a news release Thursday night.

George and Handy face more serious charges for an altercation on E Boyd where victims fought back and were shot. The victims were shot in the hands.

While investigating the cases, Monica Marie George, 39, was also arrested at the address of George and Handy for having drugs and a stolen gun.

Police are looking into other robberies. Investigators said the cases are still open, and might be connected. More people could be arrested.
