DENHAM SPRINGS - Sheriff’s deputies in Livingston Parish said they arrested two and have a warrant out for a third after they arrived at the scene of a shooting in Denham Springs Tuesday.

Deputies responded to a residence in the 9300 block of Lockhart Road to discover a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. The injury was non-life threatening, according to investigators.

“Through investigation, LPSO detectives believe the motive behind this shooting to be robbery.  Two men were arrested in connection with this case and we are currently looking for one more suspect.  We’re asking anyone with information to please work with us and share any information,” said LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard.

The two arrested men were Justin Slinker and Derek Tauzin. Both were booked into and remain in the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

23-year-old Cullen Pitre, of Plaquemine, remains at large. He’s wanted for attempted second degree murder and principal to attempted armed robbery with use of a firearm.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 686-2241.
