18-wheeler pins vehicle on Airline Highway near Old Hammond
BATON ROUGE – Part of Airline Highway is closed to traffic Wednesday morning after an an 18-wheeler partially pinned a vehicle while turning.
The accident is on Airline past Old Hammond Highway. According to DOTD, all lanes are now open after they were closed temporarily earlier on Wednesday morning following the accident.
Congestion from the accident is minimal.
Photos of the crash show an SUV on two wheels pinned below the trailer of the big rig. According to authorities, one person is being examined at the scene. No further details on the conditions of the drivers have been released at the time of this post.
