Update: East bound lanes of Interstate 12 have re-opened after a crash involving an 18-wheeler. It happened just after ten o'clock last night between the towns of Livingston and Holden.
State Police said Daniel McRae was driving the big rig when a tire blew-out. The truck drifted to the right, hit a guard rail and overturned. Cargo inside the 18-wheeler spilled out onto the shoulder of the road. Sgt. Markus Smith with State Police told News 2, the cargo was not hazardous. Crews spent part of the morning removing the wreckage.
McRae was hospitalized with minor injuries. Police charged him with careless operation.
