17-year-old fighting for life after shooting
Update: Three people went to the hospital after a shooting at the corner of Tennessee and East Grant.
It happened in broad daylight and left one 17-year-old fighting for his life.
People told news 2 that today's shooting was just another reminder that crime is controlling their neighborhood.
The Baton Rouge Police Department says the three victims were hanging out on the corner. Witnesses told officers two cars pulled up to the men. The people inside the cars started an argument and then started shooting.
A 32-year-old was shot in the leg, and a 22-year-old was hit in the back. The teen was shot in the head and is in critical condition.
Family members say the 17-year-old is a soon-to-be father. They hope this sad scene sinks in for the neighborhood's young people.
