BATON ROUGE - Police say a 15-year-old rape victim bit her rapist to escape a second attack.

The incident happened Saturday. According to the arrest report, the attacker saw the victim walking near Boulevard De Province around 5 p.m. The man stopped the car and offered the girl a ride.

The man was identified as Joshua Moore.

After picking up the victim, Moore took the girl to an apartment complex on West Brookstown Drive where he raped her. After the attack, Moore drove the victim to an unknown location on Nicholson Drive close to Ben Hur Drive.

According to the arrest report, the girl tried to escape Moore's vehicle after he said they were going to have sex again. There was a brief struggle at which point the girl bit Moore's hand. At that point she was able to escape the vehicle.

The victim flagged down a passing vehicle and called police.

When questioned by authorities, Moore allegedly admitted to having sex with the girl, but said it was consensual.

Moore is charged with second-degree rape and false imprisonment.
