11-year-old boy found at bottom of apartment pool
HOUMA - Sheriff's deputies said an 11-year-old visiting family at a Houma apartment complex drowned in the facility's pool this weekend.
Terrebonne Parish deputies said the victim, Al James from Gray, La., was pulled from the bottom of the swimming pool Saturday evening around 7 p.m.
Detectives said first responders tried to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at Terrebonne General Hospital.
Deputies said a number of children were swimming in the pool at the time of the incident, and the coroner's office ruled James' death an accidental drowning.
