11-mile traffic jam reported after wreck on I-10E

BATON ROUGE - Traffic officials said a wreck on I-10 East caused an 11-mile backup coming into Baton Rouge Friday evening.

The Department of Transportation and Development said I-10 East was closed around 5:45 p.m. due to the wreck at the I-10 / I-110 split.

Details about what caused the wreck were not immediately available.

Traffic has been heavy coming into Baton Rouge due to increased traffic for the LSU football game this weekend against Arkansas.
