102 year old faces murder charge
BOSTON- A 102-year-old woman in Massachusetts still faces a murder charge for killing her 100-year-old roommate in a nursing home.
Laura Lindquist is accused of strangling Elizabeth Barrow, who was found with a plastic bag tied around her head.
The murder happened nearly five-years ago but Lundquist has a history of dementia and was ruled incompetent to stand trial but the murder charge stayed active.
She is being treated at a state psychiatric hospital.
Barrow's son filed a wrongful death lawsuit and is awaiting a ruling on an appeal after an arbitrator dismissed the suit.
