$100K bond set for rape, kidnapping suspect
BATON ROUGE - A judge set a $100,000 bond for the man accused of kidnapping two women from a Tigerland bar and raping them.
Authorities charged Isai Efrain Garcia-Vasquez, 22, with rape and second-degree kidnapping after his arrest Friday.
Investigators said Garcia-Vasquez met his victims at a local bar in the Tigerland area, then took them to a remote area and raped them while they were incapacitated.
Baton Rouge Police arrested Garcia-Vasquez Friday after getting information about a rape that happened outside the city limits on June 8. Detectives said they also linked him to a rape on July 8, 2013 through DNA processed by the State Police Crime Lab.
Garcia-Vasquez remains in jail on bond at this time.
