$10 million expansion announced for coffee company
BATON ROUGE - City leaders announced a $10 million expansion is in the works for a Baton Rouge coffee supply business.
The Baton Rouge Area Chamber and Mayor Kip Holden announced Wednesday that Pod Pack International planned to expand their Baton Rouge facilities, building a new manufacturing area to expand production.
Pod Pack makes compostible espresso pods, one-shot coffee pods, and other single cup coffee systems for offices, hotels, restaurants and homes. In 2013, the company produced approximately 100 million pods.
The seven-figure expansion would create 19 new direct jobs, as well as an estimated 67 new indirect jobs.
