BUECHE - A woman in West Baton Rouge Parish found a large, scaly visitor when she went outside to enjoy her morning coffee.
A ten-and-a half foot long alligator was crawling around in Skye Johnston's backyard. She believes the alligator came from a swamp across the street from her home.
"I screamed and my husband thought maybe there was a snake. And I was like oh my God! I mean, he wasn't going to get me, but he's huge, he's just a giant," Johnston said.
The Department of Wildlife and Fisheries sent a nuisance alligator trapper out to remove the massive animal. It'll be relocated to a wilderness area suitable for alligators.
