1 teen killed, 2 injured in early Sunday shooting
LAFAYETTE, La. - Lafayette police say an 18-year-old man is accused of killing one 15-year-old and shooting two others while they were in a truck outside his home in a middle-class subdivision.
Cpl. Paul Mouton says Seth Fontenot of Lafayette was booked Sunday on one count of first-degree murder and two of attempted first-degree murder. He says the investigation is continuing, and investigators have not released the apparent motive.
Mouton says the 15-year-olds were shot about 1:45 a.m. Sunday.
He says the driver went straight to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, where one passenger died. Mouton says the driver and other passenger are in stable condition.
It was not clear whether Fontenot had an attorney.
