1 killed in weekend fire at suburban New Orleans house
METAIRIE (AP) - Authorities are trying to determine the cause of a fatal weekend house fire in a New Orleans suburb.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says in a news release that the fire happened early Sunday.
Firefighters found a woman's body after extinguishing flames that had fully engulfed a house in Metairie.
The identity of the woman was being withheld while relatives were notified. An autopsy was planned.
