BATON ROUGE - One person was shot at the scene of an armed robbery at a North Ardenwood Drive apartment complex Friday morning.

EMS confirmed that one victim was taken from the scene with a gunshot wound to the forearm to an area hospital after they were found near the front of the apartments located in the 1000 block of North Ardenwood. Police confirmed the shooting occurred during an armed robbery.

Neighbors at the apartment complex described hearing as many as four gunshots during the incident.
