COVINGTON - One person was killed when a trench collapsed at a construction site in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, north of New Orleans. Another victim was rescued after being trapped in dirt up to his shoulders.
The accident happened early Thursday afternoon in the Covington area.
Crews from area fire departments were involved in freeing the trapped worker.
