BATON ROUGE - UPDATE 10:12 a.m. - Crews are working to upright the truck and remove it.  Louisiana State Police said the interstate could by opened back up around noon.

The east bound lanes of Interstate 12 near O'Neal lane in Baton Rouge are closed at this time  due to an overturned tandem 18-wheeler.  The truck went off the roadway around 6:45am Friday morning just before the Amite River Bridge.

All eastbound traffic is being diverted to O'Neal Lane.  Motorists headed east must take O'Neal north to U.S. 190, then turn right to cross the Amite River.  Drivers can then get back onto I-12 at Denham Springs.

Louisiana State Police is working the crash; they said the only vehicle involved was the truck, and the driver was not injured.
