NEW YORK (AP) - Roseanne Barr says the season finale of her revived and controversial ABC sitcom "Roseanne" will come to a climax Tuesday with the embrace of a hopeful principle.

The actress, writer, and producer says her character Roseanne Conner, who has admitted she's addicted to painkillers, will have to face her medical condition during a deluge in her town.

One of the show's themes will be that government can help people. Barr joked that the episode will be about "rain and health care and God."

In an interview, Barr looked back at this season and forward to the next, saying she was thrilled that so many people have tuned in every week and that many of the hot-button issues that were raised in the reboot will continue in the coming season.
