    Teen charged in connection with Pineville school fire

    Pineville, LA - State Fire Marshal investigators have arrested and charged a 16 year-old student at J.S. Slocum Learning Center in Pineville with one count of Aggravated Arson.

    Authorities say the teen set a fire intentionally in the school gym last week.

    Firefighters found the stage curtains in the gym smoldering when they arrived.

    No one was hurt.

    The 16 year-old is currently being held in the Renaissance Home for Juveniles in Alexandria.
