    BATON ROUGE - Dermatologist Dr. Z has the first peek in the the city at a new fat reduction procedure called Vanquish.

    Dr. Z said the procedure applies heat to fat cells around the waist without touching the skin. Vanquish practically melts the fat off, according to Dr. Z.

    She recommends four treatments, each of which is 30 minutes long. If you have a pacemaker or any metal in the stomach region, do not use Vanquish.

    Dr. Z recommends applying toner after washing your face. After that, put on an exfoliant or moisturizer. Lastly, apply a serum that you use or any prescription lotions.

    According to dermatologist Dr. Z, the sun causes 80% of the skin's aging. Sunscreen helps stop that aging and fight off the sun's ultraviolet rays, which also cause skin cancer.

    Dr. Z also recommended using a Vitamin C antioxidant lotion each morning and tretinoin cream each night.
