Police storm apartment, man taken to hospital

BATON ROUGE - A standoff involving Baton Rouge Police ended when officers stormed an apartment in Tigerland Monday.

The standoff lasted about an hour around noon at the apartment complex on Jim Taylor Road.

EMS took one person to the hospital from the scene after members of the Special Response Team stormed the apartment. Sources tell News 2 a bean bag round was fired to subdue the person.

Police did not say what prompted the standoff in the first place.
