It is going to be another beautiful afternoon across the Baton Rouge area as high pressure remains to our north. This will make it mostly sunny with a few high clouds streaming over the city. It will become a tad warmer with highs in the upper 60s.
Another chilly night is on tap with clear skies and low temperatures in the lower 40s.
Weekend Forecast: The area of high pressure moves to the northeast of Louisiana, and a weak disturbance moves over the state from the west. However, our weather will remain quiet. You will notice a few more clouds popping up Saturday and Sunday with no rain. Each day will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s to around 70. Each night will be mostly clear and still a little chilly with lows in the mid to upper 40s.
Next Week Outlook: Another disturbance will move through on Monday and Tuesday. This will have a little more moisture to work with, so we will have more clouds and a few showers are possible on Tuesday. High temperatures will be warmer as they climb into the lower 70s, and lows will be in the upper 40s.
The disturbance will be well to the east of Louisiana on Wednesday and another area of high pressure will settle over the Deep South. This will make it sunny, but we will not cool down. Rather we will become warmer with highs in the lower 70s. Wednesday Night will be clear and chilly with lows in the upper 40s.
Thanksgiving Day is going to be a fantastic one weather-wise. It will be sunny and mild with highs in the lower 70s and lows in the upper 40s.
More pleasant weather is expected for Black Friday. We will be sunny and it will still be mild with highs in the lower 70s and lows in the upper 40s.
Tropical Outlook: Everything remains quiet in the tropics and tropical cyclone formation is not expected through the weekend.
