The clouds will break up today and it will become mostly sunny. This is due to the upper-level moisture moving to the east of Louisiana. We will still be chilly with highs in the upper 50s.
Get ready for some freezing temperatures tonight!! We will be clear with calm winds and the low temperatures will fall into the lower 30s. Patchy frost is expected to cover any plants or bring them inside!! The NWS has issued a Freeze Warning from Midnight tonight until 9 AM Thursday due to threat for freezing temperatures for an extended period of time.
Week Ahead: An area of high pressure will remain over us on Thursday and that will make for a beautiful day with sunny skies. It will be a little warmer with highs in the lower 60s. Thursday Night will be clear and cold with lows in the upper 30s.
Friday is going to be a transition day from the nice weather to some rainy weather this weekend. Expect partly cloudy skies with warmer high temperatures in the upper 60s. Friday Night will be mostly cloudy and we could see a shower pop-up late. Lows will be much warmer too as they only fall to the lower 50s.
Weekend Forecast: Forecast models are showing that we will have a dreary and soggy weekend. Another cold front is forecast to move into Baton Rouge and that will bring us some rain and thunderstorms. Saturday will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers developing during the day. It will be warmer and more humid with highs in the lower 70s. Saturday Night is forecast to have mostly cloudy skies with isolated showers. Lows will be in the mid 50s.
The cold front will move into Baton Rouge on Sunday now and that will bring us scattered showers with a few thunderstorms. We will stay warm and humid with highs in the lower 70s. Sunday Night will still be mostly cloudy with the scattered showers and storms continuing. Lows will be in the lower 50s.
