Short Term:  Patchy dense fog is greeting us on this Monday morning.  The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory until 8 AM.  Visibilities could drop to 1/4 mile at times.  Otherwise it is partly to mostly cloudy with cool temperatures in the lower 50s.

A cold front will move into the Baton Rouge area this afternoon.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move through town, but severe weather is not expected.  However, we could see a few heavy downpours.  Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy and warm with highs in the mid 70s.

The cold front will move to the east of town tonight, the rain will end, and the skies will gradually clear out late.  It will be much colder with lows in the mid 40s.

Week Ahead:  An area of high pressure will build in behind the cold front on Tuesday.  This will bring us sunny skies along with SIGNIFICANTLY COLDER air!  Cold northwesterly winds will only allow high temperatures to climb  to the lower 60s.  It will be very cold on Wednesday night with lows in the upper 30s!  BRR!!  Be sure to dress warmly!

It will remain cool on Wednesday with sunny skies and high temperatures in the lower 60s.  It will remain pretty cold on Wednesday night with clear skies and lows in the upper 30s.

Easterly winds will come back to the area on Thursday, and it will not be as cold.  We will have partly cloudy skies with highs around 70.  Much of the same weather is expected on Friday with highs in the lower 70s.

The weekend will still have partly cloudy skies as southeast winds pump in the warmer temperatures.  Highs on Saturday will be in the lower 70s.   Lows will not be as chilly as they only fall to near 50.  We will have a slight chance of a shower on Sunday ahead of a cold front.  It will remain mild with highs in the lower 70s.

Tropical Update:  All areas of the tropics remain quiet, and tropical cyclone formation is not expected through Tuesday.
