More dreary weather today

Short Term Forecast:  It is a soggy and foggy start to this Tuesday across the Capital City.  We have an area of low pressure that is moving across the state and it is setting off the scattered showers with mostly cloudy skies.  Temperatures are in the mid 50s.  Take that umbrella with you again today!

The low will move out of Louisiana this afternoon and that will gradually take the rain with it.  We will be left with mostly cloudy skies and warm high temperatures in the lower 70s.

We will dry out a little tonight with mostly cloudy skies.  Some patchy fog will be possible.  Low temperatures will fall to the mid 50s.

Week Ahead:  Most of Wednesday will be pretty quiet with partly to mostly cloudy skies.  Then later in the afternoon/evening another area of low pressure and a warm front will move into Western Louisiana.  This will increase the clouds and set off a few showers over Baton Rouge.  It will be a warm and muggy day with highs in the mid 70s.  Wednesday Night will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers developing.  Lows will be in the upper 50s.

The area of low pressure will move over the state all day on Thursday.  This low will be stronger than the one we have moving over us today.  That means we will see more rain and some thunderstorms too.  High temperatures will be in the lower 70s.  Thursday Night will be mostly cloudy with the rain slowly coming to an end as the low moves east of Louisiana.  Low temperatures will only fall to around 60.

Some nice weather is on tap for Friday as an area of high pressure moves over us.  We will become partly cloudy with highs in the mid 70s and lows in the lower 50s on Friday Night.

Weekend Outlook:  Saturday is forecast to be a pretty nice day for the Spanishtown Parade.  We will have mostly cloudy skies and it will be warm with highs in the lower 70s.  Saturday Night will be mostly cloudy with a few sprinkles and fog possible.  Lows will be in the mid 50s.

Sunday is expected to be a pretty good day, but we could see a few showers popping up later.  This is due to our next weather-maker, a cold front, moving closer to Baton Rouge.  Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, warm and humid with highs in the mid 70s.  Sunday Night will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers and lows in the upper 50s.

Stay dry and have a nice day! -Dave
