
Short Term: The majority of the rain has ended as the area of low pressure moves toward the northeast. In its wake, we have plenty of clouds along with some fog and drizzle. This weather will persist all morning too. It is a cool start to the day with temperatures in the upper 40s. Watch out for low visibilities with the fog. They could drop to less than a 1/2 mile at times.
The clouds and drizzle will linger all day long. Needless to say, it will not be a very pretty day. The area of low pressure will continue to move to the northeast where it will turn into a major snowstorm! Fortunately, we will not have to worry about that here. It will remain cool here with highs in the lower 50s.
If you are headed to any Mardi Gras parades tonight, the weather will not be bad. It will be mostly cloudy and cool this evening with temperatures around 50.
Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast overnight, and the drizzle will end. It will become colder with low temperatures in the upper 30s.

Super Bowl Weekend: We will see the clouds gradually break up, and some sunshine will mix in from time to time on Saturday. It will be a dry and cool day with highs in the mid 50s. Partly cloudy skies are expected on Saturday night with chilly lows in the mid 30s.
On Super Bowl Sunday, it will be mostly sunny and cool around the Baton Rouge area. This will make for some great weather for all the Super Bowl parties! High temperatures will be in the mid 50s. At kickoff, we will still be mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the 50s. Sunday night will be mostly clear and cold with lows in the upper 30s. 
Super Bowl Forecast for Miami: The area of low pressure that moved through Baton Rouge will bring rain to South Florida today and tonight. They are expecting mostly cloudy skies today with a few showers, and then scattered showers and thunderstorms tonight. Some of the rain could be heavy. Highs will be around 80 and lows in the mid 60s.
On Saturday, the rain will come to an end, and it will become mostly sunny. It will be a little cooler with highs in the lower 70s. It will be clear and cool on Saturday night with lows in the lower 50s.
On Super Bowl Sunday, the weather will be just perfect! There will be plenty of sunshine with comfortable temperatures in the lower 70s. At the 5:25 PM CDT kickoff, it will still be sunny with a temperature around 70. GEAUX SAINTS!! WHO DAT!!
Baton Rouge Weather Next Week: The new week is shaping up to be an unsettled one. On Monday we will have a warmer and
more humid day as moisture returns from the Gulf of Mexico. It will become partly cloudy with highs in the lower 60s. A few showers will move through on Monday night with lows in the mid 40s.
Scattered showers are expected on Tuesday as a cold front moves through from the west. Some of the rain may become a little heavy at times. High temperatures will be cooler as they climb into the mid 50s.
Cooler temperatures with partly cloudy skies are in the forecast on Wednesday. Highs will be in the lower 50s and lows will be in the lower 30s. It looks like the area will stay just above freezing.
Showers will return on Thursday with mostly cloudy skies. It will be a cold rain with highs in the lower 50s. The showers will continue on Thursday night with lows in the mid 30s. More rain is expected on Friday with the chilly temperatures only getting to 50.
